Fall Equinox

This past weekend we entered fall 2023. As we change seasons, it is always a good time to take a pause; an opportunity to view life from a broader perspective. When we stop spinning our wheels, we can become more aware. Fall is a time to get grounded or find our center. Once we become rooted, we can navigate the world from a place of steadiness and stability.

The fall equinox is the day that day and night are equal. One of the biggest themes of this time of year is balance. It is a time to reflect on the balance in our own lives and see equilibrium in our physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

Fall is a season of transition, as nature undergoes significant changes with the shedding of leaves and the approach of winter. We need to embrace change and impermanence as natural aspects of life. We need to adapt gracefully to life’s transitions.

Fall is a time of harvest and a time to express gratitude for the abundance and blessing in our lives. It is also a time to set intentions for the coming season and reflect on personal growth and transformation. This is a time to reap what you’ve been putting your energy towards. It’s also a time to pause and look forward, to see where to best flow your life force moving forward.

Balance. More energy. Focus. Inner calm. These are all things we crave in our fast-paced world. Taking care of ourselves amidst the demands of daily life is challenging. Life is a continuous cycle – always shifting and evolving, join Satsanga Yoga on your mat to take a pause.

Class Highlight: Join Satsanga Yoga for a class on October 9th for a class for the fall equinox. The class will focus on balance poses and twists. Honoring the balance of light and dark and the continuous cycle of life. Finally, deep hip openers will be added to help release and settle, honoring the Earth’s seasonal turn toward rest and regeneration.
